Instructional- disciplinary regulations for Tarbiat Modares  students in attendance courses 

 The instructional- disciplinary regulations for Tarbiat Modares students in Persian language teaching attendance courses have conducted in order to clarify official and educational regulations of this center.

A. Registration regulations 

1.After passing the first phase of registration- getting educational visa and declaring the educational calendar by international unit of your university- it is necessary to be in Iran at least three days before term starts and come personally to Persian Language Center in order to complete your file and final registration. Students are obliged to send their essential documents to the center or send it to the email address zabanfarsi@modares.ac.ir . 

 2. Before term begins, it is necessary to pay at least three terms fee and complete the registration document. Paying fee and giving the documents are considered as final registration. 

 

B. Essential documents to register

• The latest educational document copy;
• Registration form (you can download it from International unit of Tarbiat Modares University) and giving it to the center;
• 3*4 photo;
• Passport copy.

 

1. Before term begins, the education fee must be paid at least for three terms

2. All the applicants must take Placement exam. The result will define their appropriate level. The placement test fee is one million rial. 

3. In case the essential sessions are less than 120 instructional hours, the fee is calculated by center and student agreement. 

4. Book and instructional materials fee is received separately.

5. The center is not responsible for students' non-educational affairs and residence. 

 

C. Joining class regulations

1. It is necessary to attend on time in class.

2. Every three sessions delay is considered one absence. 

3. Students can only be absent for three sessions not more.

4. More than ten sessions being absent dispossess you from continuing the tern. The fee won't give back, too. Student must take the term again. 

5. Final score of each term is up to 20. This score in all the levels includes 20 grade for class activities, 20 grades for final exam, and 20 grades for midterm exam. The final grade is calculated by the sum of these grades divided to 4. 

6. Class grade includes 5 grades active presence in class and student participation in class activities, 10 grades doing homework, and 5 grades language skills development and not having more than 3 sessions absent. 

7. It is necessary to attend in midterm and final exam. 

8. In case one can't take midterm exam with acceptable reason and good excuse, half of final exam score will be considered as his midterm score. It is done just one time in all the six terms and if it repeats, you will lose midterm grade. 

9. Not taking final exam means deleting the term and you can't take exam in an other time. Student must take the same course and repeatedly pass it. 

10. In case student has a good excuse for being absent in final exam, he can take exam in another time by paying defined fee. 

11. Getting grade less than 12 means student failure and he must re-take the course. 

12. In case student can't pass three or four subjects, he must re-take the course. In case he fails in one or two subjects, he can take compensatory exam if having an average more than 12 grade. Compensatory exam fee for each subject is 6 million rial. 

13.  At the end of three levels beginner, intermediate. and advanced- student will take an oral interview and a written exam based on lessons of two terms ago. The scores of these exam will be mentioned separately in their report card. 

14. Comprehensive Exam will be taken after advanced 2 level and according to its result, students get their certificate and report card. 

15. After each term, there is a week holiday. 

16. In case of interference official holiday with your class, compensatory class will hod on Thursdays the date of which is predefined in educational calendar. The compensatory class regulations are like the regulations of you usual class and being absent in it is as being absent in your usual class.

Note: In case the holiday in a course is more than one day and Thursdays aren't enough for compensatory classes, it will be held after your main class for about an hour the dates of which are predefined in educational calendar. 

17.  In three and four- student classes, presenting at least two of the students in order to hold the class is necessary and not being in class won't cancel the class.

18. Canceling the class is possible just in case all the students and center be on agreement and it is announced to the principal at least a session before that. 

19. In three or four- student classes, in case of having more than 4 absences, you can take private class and pay its fee. 

20. Class canceling is possible at most three times in your whole education. Canceling more sessions is prohibited and the fee of canceled class won't take back. 

21. In case of teacher absence, compensatory session will be held.

22. Tests of every course include midterm exam and final exam which are held like grouped classes. 

23. Tests scores will be mentioned in your report card. 

 

D. Regulations of presenting in center

1. Try to keep center's equipment and facilities safe.

2. It is necessary to have Islamic Hijab according to Islamic Republic of Iran. 

3. Respect each others' opinion in respect to cultural and religious varieties. 

4. Have your card entering and getting out of the center.

5. Pay attention to the time discipline of entering and getting out of the center. 

6. Don't smoke in educational environment. 

7. In case of a problem, inform the principal or deputy.

8. It is necessary to notice class, dorm and educational environment regulations. In case of violation, at first you will be warned by International unit in written form and if you repeat, you won't get the final course certificate and will get back to Students Affairs Organization.
